Connections
connecting global outreach ministry
with follow-up in Israel
Intro
“Beauty in a culture of brokenness arrests our attention and compels
emotions to well up inside of us,
as our minds are stirred and drawn out of the brokenness around us into this portal of the Divine”

Prayer > Encounter > Vision
My name is Jael S. Kalisher.
I am a native-born Israeli, a believer in Yeshua. For as long as I can recall, faith has been the journey I was on, and music has been in my blood. One of my biggest passions is to connect believers around the world through various projects.
In 2019 I traveled to NZ and learned about Celebrate Messiah and the outreach ministry of hosting. I learned about the network, met with the people, and ultimately was led to create and launch "connections".
My vision through this project is to reach out to Israelis backpacking in NZ through live music, connect through outdoor activities, reconnect back in Israel at music events, and ultimately introduce them to the local Body of Messiah.

QUESTIONS
What is the current follow-up avenue to continue nurturing all these invaluable connections made in NZ?
How can I assist in this avenue, and/or expand its reach?
Solution
touch through
MUSIC
Music and beauty have a way of not only arresting our attention but creating a memory of a moment one can tap into every time the same sight and tune appear again.
Finding a way to touch hearts through music, and then speak to them surrounded by beauty - is at the heart of "connections".

connections
Currently, the conversations that take place in New Zealand, rarely if ever occur in Israel.
The New Zealand context provides for a multitude of opportunities to pursue deep-faith conversations with Israeli backpackers.
As this project relies on the connectability produced by music, and the creative combination with outdoor activities - the long-term vision is not only to utilize it in other countries as well but appeal to the younger generation - both the messenger and the recipient.

it's all about
connections
Amos 3:3 presents a question of agreement which symbolizes an intentional connection:
"Shall two walk together, except they have agreed?"
I look forward to connecting by God's grace and walking together through this Divine portal.
